A coprolite is a fossilised poo.

We had to draw a moa or haast eagle.

We had to label the drawing and write facts.

This week captain minions have been reading a book about the lockdowns. We worked on our comprehension as well as completing a worksheet on how we felt about being in lockdown.

 In reading this week our group captain minions. We read a book make way for dad  after we finished that we had to make a slide about our dream holiday.

stripped invaders.

In our reading group Captain Minions this week, we read the story The Stripped Invaders.We are learning to identify key-words and summarise the story. Here is my summary. What is a stripped invader? A stripped invader is a queen wasp. Over four to three weeks the larvae turns into a pupae. The queen makes hexagonal cells mixture using saliva. Each little larva scratches its mandibles on the side of its shell. the queen has to give birth to lots of babies. the queen wasp has lots of babies.

 Whats a key word? a key word is a bold word.

Where in the story were they used?     When the words are made bigger/stand out. 

City of Ember chapter 4!!

 City of Ember chapter 4!!

Granny went crazy over losing something.Grandma ripped up the pillows on the couch Lena's father worked in the green house. Clary saw the potatoes get infected.  There is a new job, the trash shifter..Lena told grandma off for leaving poppy in the shop by herself. The potatoes were all mushy like liquid. 

Chapter 3 - City of Ember

 Here is my summary of City of Ember chapter 3. When underground in the pipeworks, when you think of the directions North, South, East and West you will know what is above you. South direction leads to the greenhouse, east is the direction to school. You have to have permission to see the generator. Everywhere was wrenches and hammers in the black gloopy ground. Doon saw a gigantic black rusted machine that was 2 stories tall.  What size boot are you? Said Lister, a pipeworks worker. Doons dad worked in a shop owning tools and other supplies.  The pipe works map looks like a centipede. The generator was really really really LOUD.
